Hi Anita

Glad you’ve finished your Chemo & are getting away for a holiday. Did you have lymph nodes removed, as you have to be extra careful with that arm ie not to get it burned, so a higher factor. Also you may be a little sun sensitive as we never know how the Chemo will affect us.

So lots of sunscreen & enjoy 🌞

Worth checking Breast Cancer Care & Macmillan as they may have leaflets on Sun Safety after Chemo

I didn’t go in the Sun as l’m a fair skinned Celt! 👒

My consultant said sunfactor 50 on the arm I had lymph nodes taken from, but he said they are not all the same, he recommended Ultasun, and another one, both quiet expensive, but I’ve looked at boots sultan range, and that looks about the same to me, and smells nicer, look at the back for uva, uvb star ratings, have a nice holiday.

As others have said, it's important to prevent sunburn if you had lymph nodes removed as you can develop lymphoedema. Sunburn increases the risk of it deveoping. Enjoy your holiday
