Need a bit of help regarding Letrozole......are there any ladies who have switched from Letrozole to another hormone therapy and found less side effects. Also, do the side effects get worse the longer you are on it?? I used to have good days and then bad but find the good days have gone. Many thanks

Hi ... I have been on letrozole for nearly 7 years . I have found that my hair is thinner and I appear to have weight gain , also can suffer from insomnia .. As far as the muscle and joint pain. I have found over time this has decreased , but to be fai I have taken up more exercise .. Tai chi , ballroom dance lessons and a couple of sessions at the gym .. But I feel these side effects are worth it for me to try and be cancer free xx good luck !!
I was on Letrozole for 2 1/2 years. The only reason I came off it was because it stopped working for me. My main side effect was aches and pains. The problem is we are all different and all these treatments cause different side effects in different people. You don't really know until you try something. So if you change you could have worse side efects or things could improve. I still found that I had similar side effects when I had to switch.
My motto is if it's not broke, you don't need to fix it. Have you spoken to your oncoligist about how you feel? Good luck with your decision xx
