I personally haven't heard of any bleeding on tamoxifen, but any bleeding from back passage needs looking at, if fresh blood it is not usually serious as could be piles, tear or such like, dark old blood is a little more serious, but you have done the right thing in seeing your doctor etc. Hope all goes ok Monday xx

My thoughts on this is when I was on Chemotherapy it clearly caused issues with either extremes of a loose stomach or constipation during treatment then after treatment even years after it can cause what I think is poles die to the constant straining over the mouthed to go to the toilet. I'm on Tamoxifen and have that isssue just every now and again not that's what I put it down to. I went to the GP who actually agreed. Hope all ends well for you.

Hey footprints sorry but I'm not on tamoxifen so don't know how much value for you in this but I am used to passing small fresh blood due to piles. I try hard to get enough fibre and drink loads of water to help this but sometimes have to resort to laxatives. I've had 'the camera' a couple of years ago. Nothing untoward was found. Wishing you well xx

As others have said fresh blood is usually due to piles. Black poo can be a sign of bleeding higher up and would need investigating, unless of course you're on iron tablets which also turn the poo black
