So just after two years, not five? I'm glad for you!

So June will be your liberation from anastrozole!

How often will you have to have the mammograms, yearly?

So enjoy life without medicines!

I think you go onto the breast screening programme which according to info on cancer research is every 3 years ☺

Ah! Then it's even better. What kind of breast cancer did you have? I suppose it was a ductal one?

I had an HER2+ Grade 3 cancer, found it whilst in the shower one day,I know it couldn't of grown that quick but I hadn't noticed it before and didn't feel ill or under the weather. How about you?

It might seem strange but I only recently looked at the findings as I just wanted to get on with the treatment and not analyse the rest. What I remember is that it's hormone positive, grade 2, and the word which I hated the most is "aggressive". I also discovered my cancer while having a shower in October 2012. After two years of Anastrozole, the oncologist told me I can move to tamoxifen but then, I would have had to be on it for a total of 10 years, if I survive for so long! I opted to continue with Anastrozole instead.

But following my operation, I have lymphoedema in my left arm which is quite a horrible thing to have.

I just looked at your profile. I misunderstood your post; I thought that you were given treatment for two years only. I also wonder how often one is going to be called for mammograms if older than 70 at the end of treatment, and if at all.
