I would think it's just the healing process. Everything knitting back inside. Very early days for you. You'll get plenty of twinges for a good while yet. My surgery was April 15 and I still get the odd twinge. I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago and I get the odd twinge there too so try not to worry. But if it's really painful speak to your breast cancer nurse or unit just for your own peace of mind. Sending hugs 😘

Thank you I appreciate it.I wonder if we always will get lil twinge? Or if one day it will all be just a distant memory? Hopefully it will.take care and thanks again.and hugs to you too :-)

I'm no expert, but I had my op on the Wednesday morning, Friday afternoon my right arm (where all Lymph nodes had been taken) was red and burning to the touch, my sister took me to GP, and I had an infection, which soon cleared up with antibiotics, perhaps a quick visit to your GP, or even chat to them on the phone, good luck

If it feels like it's on fire,go to the doctors or back to the breast care team, sounds like an infection, get help.Xx

That sure can't be good now can it? Thank you I'll call them.

Yes all normal. I experienced similar, just continue to do exercises they have given you. It Defo helped me. I still do them as it helped after my radiotherapy x

Try gently stroking the area - I know it feels weird and horrible, but this really helps the nerves understand - it can go on for many weeks - I'm 5 months down the line, and still have little patches that feel peculiar - it will go, if it looks red and inflamed just ring your breast care nurse for advice - hope this helps

Good luck

Hi, I also had my mastectomy/reconstruction done at the end of Oct.. I had been doing well after a few blips, but this last week I've been really sore. It feels bruised.. Was starting to worry but reading your replies has reassured me. I'm seeing the plastic surgeon next week so will mention it to them. Thanks for being there as its a great help. Xxx
