My Masectomy
Excellent news. I was the same after my surgery on 5th Jan. I had bilateral mastectomy and lymph nodes removed. Keep up the exercises
I hope all continues to go well.
Can I just say Well Done you, lovely to hear your positivity, keep strong, sending you love xxx 💞💕
I named mine after my ex husband, I got rid of that parasite once before and I have done it again lol x
Really like this analogy - parasites can eat you up!! well done and keep well bernxx
Like Sue-E, I called my cancer 'the squatters' and they had to be evicted as they didn't pay any rent or do any housework, love and hugs to all
You're doing amazingly well and so very quickly. I found after my lumpectomy and node removal that I only needed one dose of paracetamol that night. What I didn't expect was was the degree of tiredness I felt which I'm sure was mainly due to stress and the procedures you go through first. So take it easy and accept any help that comes your way which was the hard bit for me. I wish you well for your next appointment, share your news with us if you can.
Check you ou! This is awesome positivity. You are a super trooper. I find that fatigue is the main obstacle. Let's be fair.... Any excuse to hibernate is good for me. Long may it continue and well done xx.
That's great that you got no pain , I had a mastectomy and lymph nodes removed in September , I was the same no pain xx
Would be great if I had known a bit more going into the operation. Likewise I had little pain after mastectomy and clearance, bit of discomfort with a seroma but nothing more than s paracetamol required. even the drains coming out did not hurt. Very pleasantly surprised.
Hi Sue, that was me nine years ago I had no problem at all and very little pain .I had to have radium flew through .two years later I had reconstruction and I never looked back .just be positive ,I never changed my life style and I was fine .All the best you will be grand 😊Judy
Your words will give confidence to everyone Judy-they certainly have to me. Thank you-onwards and upwards! X
Great positivity - giving me hope for mine on 8th March!!
Good luck hun stay positive and keep in touch xxx
You sound just like me! I started with a lumpectomy but didn't get clear margins so ended up having 2 further goes at it before having mastectomy in October. I have a box full of painkillers I never took! Bounced back really well after very op and healed fine. Have just finished 12 weeks of chemo. Never missed taking the dogs for a walk or the school run. I got very tired towards the end but still managed to take daughter to safari park! It was a necessary evil, the chemo and not as bad as I expected. The chemo nurses were fab, had a good laught every Tuesday and they brought me tea and biscuits! Wishing you lots of luck. Positivity is the key. Keep smiling!
