Cortical hyperdensity in left central gyrus

Hello, I'd really appreciate some help with this. I had a CT scan of my head when I was in hospital a few weeks ago (I was being treated for endocarditis and had a heart valve replaced). I'm looking at the notes from the hospital and they say 'No acute ischemia. Non-specific shallow cortical hyperdensity in left central gyrus'.

Please can anyone tell me what this means?

Well your brain doesn’t have much aging or tissue that is dying. (Ischemia) no scar tissue. For an unknown reason you have kind of a shadow when looked at differently (probably weighted images) over the left gyrus in its center on the outside of it. There isn’t a clinical or patient complaint that goes along with that right now. It’s just there.

Thanks, Neuronerd, that's reassuring. It sounded like it meant something was wrong, and none of the doctors I asked knew what it meant, so it's good to have an answer.
