hi everyone you might have seen my previous post but i’m struggling again with another wave of anxiety about the matter. so i’m on the combined pill and to my knowledge have taken it correctly. i had sex (no condom but pullout) on 26/03/21, 31/03/21 and 8/4/21, 9/4/21. i stopped the pill on the 9/4/21 to have my withdrawal bleed which started mixed in with discharge on the12/4/21 (same day i started the month before) however i’m just freaking out a bit as it’s been very light and not much blood has been on my pad but most in the toilet or when i wipe. therefore i panicked thinking this was implantation bleeding. so on the 14/4/21 i did a pregnancy test in the afternoon (after drinking some water) and it was negative. should this mean i’m not pregnant? to my knowledge if it was implantipn bleeding it would only be from the time in the months in march will have shown on the pregnancy test (which was negative) therefore the times i had sex in april woukd also mean no pregnancy as this bleed i’m having is in fact my period if i took the test ??
please help !!!

If your pregnancy test was negative then it would mean you're not pregnant, if your want to be really sure then get another test and do it with your first urine of the day which is when if your were pregnant you would get the strongest result. The pill can make your periods lighter so this is most likely what's happened, you said you took it correctly which means it's over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. The combined pill works on two ways, it prevents you ovulating so even if you have sex there's no egg for the sperm to connect with and it makes the lining of your womb thinner so even if your release an egg it is less likely to be able to implant. So it's really effective at preventing pregnancy. If your partner had also been pulling out, even smaller chance because less semen would have entered you. So the chances are really minute.
You've also started bleeding at the exact right time that you should have done, so another indicator you're not pregnant, plus the blood was dark and old not fresh and pink like implantation bleeding and its gone on for several days where as implantation bleeding doesn't last very long as its only a tiny amount of blood.
Perhaps you could speak to your doctor about your anxiety and see if there's a contraception that would be better for you like the coil or implant as it's not reliant on you remembering to take it.
yes you are right i really so need to stop stressing !! i’m thinking of taking my next test 21 days after the 9/4/21 so it’s most accurate but the wait will kill me !
No you don't need to be worried about it. Just get a different test and do it again. There's no right or wrong way just I find I prefer to pee in a pot rather than onto the stick, I've not got a great aim!
hahaha okays will do ! should i wait till 3 weeks after having sex (so in 2 weeks time) to get the most accurate reading ? might be a stressful 2 weeks but i’m willing to wait if doing it on week 3 means i’m absolutely not pregnant
