I am 5 weeks pregnant and want to know, if their is a way to get an appointment from Mid-wife at NHS. As i had two miscarriages in past within 6 weeks of my Pregnancy. I called NHS yesterday and GP said I'll get appointment from mid-wife only after 12 weeks of Pregnancy.

I think you probably need to wait till your midwife calls you and confirm with them what extra care they could offer you but I'm not sure that they do offer any extra care because of previous miscarriage, unless it's more than three and your classed as having recurrent miscarriage and have a different pregnancy pathway.

You could always book a private scan at 6/7 weeks to check if everything is going OK.

I would suggest making sure you're taking your folic acid and maybe see if your midwife would recommend you also taking baby aspirin, which I started taking after my booking in appointment.

If you have any bleeding or pain the early pregnancy unit might also scan you. Best of luck x
