MY last period was from 23th to 30th of April. I tested myself pregnant by using the pregnancy test stick on the 24th of May. All the pregnancy test stick showed the results were clearly positive. However, from the 1st of June, I begin to bleed. At first, it was a lot of blood, almost 5-night pads were soaked on that morning. I thought I will lose my baby. In the following few days, I still bleed each day, but not so much blood. Today, the bleeding stopped. I test the urine again, it was still positive. I talk to my midwife, she didn't ask me to go to the hospital to have an investigation. She said it is too early. But I really worry about my situation. What should I do now? Did any of you have the same situation as me but still have a healthy baby? Shall I exclude ectopic pregnancy?

a lot of bleeding during early pregnancy, what should I do?
I would contact your midwife again and asked to be referred to the early pregnancy unit, they should be able to offer you a trans vaginally exam and check on your pregnancy. They may also be able to offer blood tests to check your HCG levels are where they should be for your pregnancy.
Ectopic pregnancy is usually accompanied with pain which they say often starts on the shoulder. If you're experiencing any pains like that then definitely speap to your midwife again.
Sadly sometimes even when you do miscarry the hormones in your blood can still give a positive result for quite a while. If the bleeding has stopped, maybe wait a week or so and then test again, sometimes people do bleed in pregnancy and then go on to have a healthy pregnancy, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Take care xxx
