Hi! I want to start using a contraceptive method which is like a pill (in a relationship therefore not concerned about STI's), but I'm worried about how it may interfere with my PCOS. I don't take any pills for PCOS. Is there a pill that may actually help with the PCOS, or not cause any problems with it?

Contraception + PCOS?
Hello
I would make an appointment to see a GP / Contraceptive Nurse who can go through the options but basically if have no medical history , family history or allergies You could take either the combined pill or the progesterone pill .
NHS Choices nhs.uk has a good section on PCOS .
Best wishes
Tracey
In my personal experience, it doesn't interfere with PCOS. However, you should follow your doctors advise. I do not recommend self-medication at all. It will do you more harm in the long term. By the way, if there is no history of allergies or any other thing then I guess it's safe to take. However, please make sure to check with your doctor. Good luck!
PCOS isn't generally affected by it. You just have to follow a diet. I mean cut the carbs as much as you can. That is what usually interferes when taking contraceptives. Other than that I guess it is safe. You can take them. Just make sure to ask a doctor first. I don't want a bad reaction happening to you. Good luck xx
