I'm 18 weeks pregnant today and on Friday afternoon, Saturday late evening and this morning I've had what feels to me like gentle squeezing inside. I'm not sure if it's my body stretching or my baby. My midwife thinks my placenta is at the front so I wasn't expecting to feel anything yet!

Am I feeling my baby?
Hi There,
Most women are first aware of their baby moving when they are 18–20 weeks pregnant. However, if
this is your first pregnancy, you may not become aware of movements until you are more than 20 weeks
pregnant. rcog.org.uk/globalassets/do... This is a link to a really useful leaflet explaining what to expect. If you have worries at all though, please contact your GP or midwife.
Best Wishes
Jules
From my experience:
this is my first pregnancy and I started to feel the flutters on week 16 (like either describe it as butterfly would flutter the wings and they would move about in my belly or it felt like a little mouse wants to get out and is scratching in my womb)
3x kicks on week 17 (very distinguishing ones)
6x much harder kicks on week 18 and he rolled and since then it has been non stop.
I try to sleep on my sides as suggested but every day / night before I fall asleep and after waking up I lie on my back for a little bit, I place my hands over my belly and that's when my baby starts to move about and kick much more than usual - so this way I say good night and good morning to my baby.
My 20 week scan states that my placenta is front left.
Enjoy your pregnancy and soon the kicks (some can be strong and powerful- I jump up sometimes like I just had electric shock) 😂
