I'm 13 weeks pregnant I've just started back at work as a health care assistant. I've noticed when I got home tonight my right foot has swollen I have never in my job before had this problem. I've read on some sites that it could be pre- eclampsia.

Hi 13 weeks is very earth to develop pre eclampsia and even swelling I woyldvring maternity triage on your green booklet get them to check your BP and urine to make sure! Good luck
very unlikely to develop preeclampsia that early in pregnancy, there are a lot more symptoms then just swelling and unlikely to happen in just one foot, have you had headaches swelling of the face high blood pressure protein in the urine really drowsy? anything could be the cause of a little swelling but if you really are worried speak to your midwife
I'm sure it's just water retention but see your midwife or go just to be sure, I've just had my 16week appointment 2nd baby and I've got protein in my urine but the midwife said all is fine as long as my blood pressure stays low and I don't get the other symptoms. I had preeclampsia with my first baby and had the full list of symptoms, I'm high risk for it this time but I know what to look out for and a swollen foot wouldn't bother me too much xx
I had it with my first and you also get visual disturbances, headaches, migraines, itching particularly on your palms and feet and legs and you get the swelling. It's worth getting it checked out but it could be that your hormones and being on your feet all day is just resulting in this. It's really early to get pre eclamsia at 13 weeks it usually happens towards the third trimester, for me from about 34 weeks.
