My period is a few days late, well was a few days late, it came on yesterday morning but I bled for next to no time and barely left a mark on the tampon and the same happened again today. My first thought was because I was a under the weather (really tiered feeling run down and sick) last week that its thrown my cycle off, but after a few google searches and realization that it was just over 3 weeks ago that I had unprotected sex I'm now starting to question and panic. Is there any possibility that I could be pregnant or could it just be because I was ill.

Hi Becky,
It would be worth you taking a pregnancy test if you do not have a 'proper' period in the next few days. When you conceive you can get something called implantation bleeding which is usually a bit of spotting and could be what you have experienced. Only you know your body but take a test or go to the Dr to set your mind at ease. x
Hi there
If you are worried then a pregnancy test would be accurate as it is 3 weeks since the last unprotected sex. Illness can affect periods, and if you are on oral contraceptive pills, vomiting can make the pill less effective.
I hope this helps
Best wishes
Katherine
