Pregnancy check up

Hello ladies,

I am in the UK for couple months only as a visitor from outside of EU. I am pregnant and I need to do regular checking like ultrasound. My spouse here has student visa so I am also entitled to use some NHS services for free. Unfortunately, this doesn't include pregnancy which means that GP will just send me to a hospital for a treatment. Do you know how much would they charge me at the hospital for some regular pregnancy check up and is it better to go private?

Tnx

Hi Fatma,

I'm sorry but I'm not too sure how much the check ups will cost. The best thing to do might be to get in touch with your local NHS maternity unit and ask them about pricing, and then contact your nearest private maternity unit and see if you can get a comparison.

Sorry I can't provide anymore information.

Best wishes,

Katherine
