Hello everyone so I got a CT scan with IV contrast and the report revealed " sigmoid colon thickening " . Anyone had the same?

This is not uncommon specially in people with diverticulosis. The more episodes of diverticulitis the more the sigmoid becomes damaged and thickened due to infection. Doctors usually shrug this off unless you have symptoms of bleeding or pain. Then they will do a colonoscopy to rule out cancerous polyps.

It mentioned on report sigmoid colon thickening with edema without signs of inflammation or diverticulitis .

I am so confused

Have you had a colonoscopy? If not and you're having symptoms you need to discuss this with your doctor.
