Embarrassing problem

I’m new here, I’ve suffered with constipation for years & taken Laxido daily. The past few months I’ve had extremely embarrassing faecal leakage, this usually happens if I go for a walk. It’s not a lot but, I’m terrified it smells & people will notice. I’ve been wearing a sanitary pad. But wondered if anyone can recommend a pad that will prevent odours?

I’m quite small so think bulky pants or pads would show through my trousers.

Please help I’m getting to the point of being scared to go out & once the lockdown ends I’ll be too embarrassed to see friends again.

Talk to your doctor or a gastroenterologist. There is help for. this problem. It happens to a lot of people.

I don’t have a gastroenterologist & I’m too embarrassed to talk to my GP...I just want recommendations for pads that mask odour & are comfy to wear.

You could do with speaking to your GP. Try not to be embarrassed. They deal with issues like yours a lot. Surely it would be better to try and resolve an issue so maybe you don't have to wear a pad 😊. In the mean time I'm think Tenna do a pad that reduces odours but not sure. Good luck xxx

Try not to be too embarrassed. They have heard this from a lot of people, and you would have a way to eliminate the problem, which could otherwise get worse if left untreated. As to pads, sorry, I don't know much about them.

GP's go to the loo themselves! We all go to the loo. So talk to the GP.

Using laxatives can cause faecal leakage.
