I’ve just had my 2nd injection, since starting my tummy has been upset , very uncomfortable, I’ve tried anti acids to try and settle it but nothing helps . I can’t see anything in the side effects stated that relates to this . Has anyone else had this experience , I’m struggling to decide if I should stop the injections.

(Marlene here)

I took Evenity for a year. No side-effects. No unpleasant reactions. Just did nothing for me. That's all. Took the DEXA scan before and after. I had taken Fosamax for ten years previously. Did nothing, either. I have many friends of my age who have been on them and have nothing but negative things to say about them. I truly wish it were otherwise.

Stick to supplements, is my advice. Keep your regular vitals in good shape and spend some money (if necessary) on blood tests and take the occasional DEXA scan to monitor. I don't think you can do better than that.

Nothing at all. But... suffice it to say, sunnygirl, nope, absolutely nothing at all...

I took it for a year, no side effects, big improvement in bone density. Go to see a doc or your hospital. This may be unrelated to Evenity.

Hi, first off don't stop the injections without talking to your clinician as it can have a negative effect on your bone density. And you need to start an alternative. Have you also been prescribed adcal? (Calcium and vitamin d)as in UK this is recommended with eventity. As I have found this has been difficult for my gut not the Injections. At the moment I take half a tablet morning and night with food, which seems much better.

I am feeling possitive about being given the chance to improve my bone density this way and exercising and eating plenty of calcium. Some people have had great results and others not so good ,for me it's worth a try,I have been on this for 4 mths.

Wishing you all the best on your journey that we are all on together .

I started Prolia, not Eventy, but the same thing happened to me. For the last two months, I have not been able to reverse my constipation. I’m actually going to see a private doctor today…….. I believe some of us are highly sensitive people, and can react and have side effects that others don’t have. My decision is that I will stop. As I’ve only had one injection this is OK, if I had had more, there would be the difficulty of rebound fractures. I don’t know if that happens with. Eventy too????

Fill in a Yellow Card if you have the energy. Very few people do, but it is essential to give a picture of side effects.

How difficult for us all to make the decision of not take osteo medicines... besides all the fear about our future without it. In my case i never had a broken bone even in my childhood, Frax shows I have little chance in the next 10 years in my case, but my Dexa shows a -3,2 on spine. My doctor ( female) said: Why not use the evolutions that sciency bring to us.. she also have used AA. So ....I dont know what to do.

A very reasonable position. Do you know the cause of your osteo? Do you have a Vit D level, and are you taking enough calcium etc?

Hi I have had 4 injections of eventity and no side effects so far. I had zoledronic infusion Feb 2024 and no side effects from that neither. So I guess I'm lucky. I had x12 vertebral fractures in last year, think x4 may have been older. DEXA scan -3.0 hip and -4.9 wrist. Didn't do spine as told it would not be accurate due to fractures. I do take over the counter omeprazole, not every day but if I take nurofen. In fact I've found that the adcal has relieved mild indigestion at times. I'm hopeful that the eventity injections will help. We all need to make decisions we are comfortable with but I would listen to the experts. Good luck.

You poor lamb. 12 fractures in a year! I agree you are doing the sensible thing, but there may be a subset which does not respond to Eventy, which is relatively new. And some will have bad side effects.

If you have the energy, you should fill in a Yellow Card giving this experience of a possible side effect. This is a relatively new drug, feedback is helpful for other users.

Yes good idea...I'm 65 healthy otherwise, recovering from the acute fracture phase and hoping I don't get further fractures. 🤞🤞....I 'm getting the bath taken out and replaced with a walk in shower. Just wanted to share on this forum that the bath supplier/installer company gave me a form to complete to apply for VAT exemption. Due to " having a chronic condition which will require ongoing medical intervention"...wording on form given to me. The company has to be registered.
