Hi you can usually get a good grade 1 in a chenist same as what is used for diabetic pens I think. I will be getting mine from chemist rather than A.azon tbh

Hi. That’s what I thought but I’ve been into a couple of chemists and they say they don’t stock them and doubt any chemist will so thought I’d try and get some suggestions from here.

I had a special bag provided when I started. However Eli Lilly now say it is OK at room temperature for 36 hours see this “How to Travel” forteo.lilly.com/taking-forteo.

On this basis a small cool bag with ice pack with should be ok. I wouldn’t put an ice pack right next to pen though.

Hi. That’s interesting. I’ll have a look. Thank you. I may still have to get one though if we take mum on holiday as room temp may become quite warm for a couple of hours :)

I brought this travel pack from Amazon and it kept my meds cool for the the 10 hours that it was out of fridge.

I was supplied with a pouch when I started my daily injections. It had a gel pack that could be frozen and take enough needles. I’m surprised the cartridge suppliers didn’t supply this. I now also have what looks like a vacuum flask that takes a more robust frozen gel block which keeps it cool for 30 hours. I’ve tested this at home and it works. Both available on line.

Hi. Sadly Healthnet stopped issuing bags when my mum was first prescribed. Could you give me the name of the 30 hr container please and I will have a look online. Thank you

Couldn’t find my exact cooler but try Googling CGOLDENWALL insulin cooler (which’s is the brand I have) and you’ll see Amazon offers lots of options.

I also bought one from Medigenix. They also supplied a certificate to present if required when travelling through airports. It does the job well. I had no luck sourcing from chemist shops.

That’s good . I’ll be using mine in a few months travelling abroad. I don’t think I received a certificate I’ll need to check . I thought I would need to get the medical certificate from health care . Happy Holidays
