Has anyone had a hip replacement whilst taking medication for osteoporosis? Thank you.

yes, in Nov 2023, I tripped and landed on my hip on my kitchen marble floor. I had a total hip replacement & was on Evenity at that time.

Yes I had hip replacement at aged 78 whilst on the yearly Infusion. It was a great success and my Surgeon didnt believe in crutches post operation and I was driving 3 weeks after op with no pain. Brilliant. All the best, go for it it will make you into a new person!!!

Wow! That is a great news story. Sounds like an excellent surgeon too. I am waiting to begin medication for osteoporosis (severe) but my hip is increasingly painful and so your news is reassuring. Thank you.
