I have a broken skull, from a double seizure, in Jan. 2018, I suffer from severe equilibrium, dizziness, when getting up, sitting down!

Surely there must be someone else who has broken their skull, and suffers similar symptoms? How do you cope with it? I have epilepsy but maybe someone has broken their skull in an accident, but again suffers bad equilibrium/balance issues?

I see you are not having much luck getting a response Adlon57.

There is a group on here called Epilepsy Action - if you put epilepsy into the search box it will take you there. You might find you get more help on there.

Afraid not Epilepsy Action are very limited over here in Northern Ireland their help groups just don't seem to last long? They know about me but never follow up anything here🙄

Oh I’m sorry about that. Can you not access the HU online help group which isn’t just linked to Northern Ireland.

Same bunch! I am terminally ill my epilepsy neurologist and I have shook hands nothing more can be done about, any change in medication would be too dangerous, I was asking about the broken skull symptoms, surely somebody must have broken their skull, and had similar equilibrium balance issues, not necessarily having epilepsy, if so how do they cope?

I’m sorry to hear, you must feel so alone. I have no answers for you, just made me think of a friend of mine. She doesn’t have epilepsy but rather she overdosed when she was around 20 (she’s 70 now) and has been wheelchair bound since. Not paralyzed, her body works normally but she destroyed her equilibrium to the point that she can’t stand without tremendous dizziness. She managed to have and raise 2 great kids with the extreme help of her husband and nowadays she finds a little joy in drinking coffee and having a pot gummy or two. They are legal here I don’t know about where you are. They help her stress level and help her cope with her situation. All my very best thoughts your way that you find some way to feel comfort.

Am downsizing EVERYTHING is being looked at, thanks to one of my sister's who is very slowly getting through it, my eldest sister wants me to go into a home, which upset rest of the family her emails now straight into trash, apparently now best time to move, lived in area all my life, so know the ghettos to stay away from, my stress level very bad last three months, my ET left hand 'bumping' away, but pure experience getting through, I'm 68, had house photographed today, worth a bit more than I thought🤫 I like my coffee [what's a pot gummy?🤫] Did not help had to get a GP to look at my head🙄but it was my ex GP who now prescribed ibuprofen, I have 'High Pain Threshold' courtesy of aforesaid ex GP, nice and cool but relieve any pain 🙄 I can sympathasise with your friend, cannot bend over things too long before😵 trying to walk up an incline, very very limited🥺

A bit of good news in all my gloom, a friend I've known for thirty years, suggested Bio-Vitamin D3 D-Pearls 4000 for my equilibrium and it seems to be working well, I can walk uphill [gingerly] but a definite improvement, I was using Vit D 300 but the increase has improved mobility 👍
