Hi im new to the bone health page...I have Hyperthyroid and my thyroid is multi nodular..I was diagnosed 2013 by my previous doctor but I was not told I have it and it wasn't followed through.I have recently had a bone density scan and was diagnosed with Osteoporosis.
On the 5th of September I am booked in to have an IV TREATMENT OF ZOLEDRONATE?
Has anyone here had this treatment,what's it like and what are the side effects and after effects.

Hi I had my first IV Zoledronate in may after having 2 years of teraparitide injections. The infusion was give over 20 minutes and was fine, the next day I felt a bit like I had the flu, just took paracetamol as advised by the hospital and have been fine since. Was advised by a friend to start Turmeric with black pepper to help my joints. Hope this helps you
