Don't believe everything you read. There's a huge amount of misinformation on the internet. I always look for evidence for both sides of the argument and prefer to believe properly conducted, peer reviewed scientific studies.

Ah thanks for reply. I think I'll just carry on having my milk and nuts because no doubt next year they'll be telling me I should be having them!

Why would they lie?

If you want to split hairs, you could argue cheese is better than milk?

I eat a vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free diet. So I'm eating plenty of plants nuts and legumes. Almonds are a good source of calcium and can be beneficial to bone health, but they do contain oxalates that can interfere with calcium absorption. The extent to which oxalates in almonds interfere with calcium absorption can vary from person to person based on factors such as individual metabolism, overall diet, and any underlying health conditions. Some people may be more sensitive to oxalates than others. I think the key is eating a well-balanced diet, everything in moderation. There is so much out there on the internet stating this is bad for you one week and this is good for you the next. It's like the whole thing with eggs and cholesterol. First they said it was bad for people to eat eggs and now they say it's okay to have an egg a day. I eat the foods I enjoy and that fuel my body.

Yes I absolutely agree. I have Brazil nuts every day too lol No doubt that'll be the next thing coming up. I think I eat well and I'll try not to take too much notice of all the negatives, because like you say, next week they'll be the positives!

I eat Brazil nuts every day for selenium too. Not more than 3 is recommended so you don't get too much selenium.
