Posture tactics

Hello - diagnosed last year with Osteopenia - my Mom had terrible spine curve - started in her 60's I recall. Am hoping to prevent that part of things - question:

What do you do to remind/ reinforce your posture on the daily?

I have a simple shoulder harness ( design like a backpack, straps) but if not wearing this I cannot seem to remember to keep shoulders back. Really want to drill in this behaviour somehow...anyone have any tips, options they have done?

thanks muchly!

Shar

I wear posture bras. They really help. Pilates is also very good for posture.

Where can you find posture bras? Would it be possible to post links? That sounds very promising.

Actually there are several options. I wish there were more. I think it would help a lot of women to wear a posture bras. I am small and live in a hot climate so that affects my choice. There are other posture correctors available but I find them hot, bulky and uncomfortable. I do not put them in the dryer when I wash them because that will destroy their elasticity. They are all front closing to get that heavy duty back support. I have several of these in different colors. amazon.com/Exquisite-Form-W...

Notice the back. That is the kind of support you are looking for.

This next one is good but hotter. I use it in the fall and winter. It gives you a smoother front look. amazon.com/Leonisa-Posture-...

I only wear a 34B so I have less options. I found that wearing this improved how looked and eliminated a lot of my aches and pains. The main thing is check on that back support.

I do Pilates for two hours a week and even though my posture is pretty good I bought one of these gadgets uprightpose.com/en-gb/ You have an app on your phone and it buzzes on your back if you lean forward. It can be annoying but it keeps you focused.

I also wear one of these backpacks instead of carrying a handbag when I’m out. For me, the straps are well places so is really comfortable to wear and that keeps your shoulders back, I have a small one for round town and a larger one for days out fjallraven.com/uk/en-gb/bag...
