been to gp this morning and I have been referred to a lung specialist, she said it would be better for me to have a statin, so I am going to start 10mgs atorvastatin, I think it's best, when is the best time to take them.

Whatever works best for you. My husband has been on statins for years and he takes his last thing at night.

thanks, but does he have to watch out for food or drinks that interact with atorvastatin.

Not at all. He can eat and drink pretty much whatever he wants.

Hope you have a better experience than my husband did. He has had to stop taking Atovastatin. They made him feel really strange, he explained it as nearly fainting and dizziness and balance problems. The doctor said it's one of the side effects.

Hi! I take mine in the morning but somebody said evening is better so I’m just sticking to what I’m doing until told differently.

I’ve had no side effects and I can eat what I like with the help of Omeprazole. I’ve always suffered with heartburn since I was a child and we used to have our food cooked in lard. Although I only use oil I still have to be careful with fats.

thanks, I drink herbal drinks ie chamomile and green tea but been reading on Google that they interact with atorvastatin.
