I have a compressed lumber fracture T10, now told about taking biphosphates. I have joined the Save the Bone programme, can this help and avoid the drugs. I have ostepenia but this fracture is taking me to the the osteoporosis road earlier. Been on steroids for a while, came off them and now back on them. Any advice welcome.

Biophosphates drugs and holistic route
I get Save the Bones emails but I don’t really like the system, she seems very commercial. I think I signed up when I was first diagnosed but I really don’t like her recipes and her exercises seem too severe for me so basically I just look to see what she has to say.
I much prefer the advice and exercises that are on Margaret Martin’s MelioGuide site. She is a Canadian physiotherapist with a special interest in older clients and osteoporosis and I feel very confident doing her exercises, she also reports on various things connected with bone health.
There are lots of exercises on the ROS site too if you have a look on there but I find MM very sensible and what she does is more like the pilates I do with my Pilates teacher who is also a physiotherapist.
Apart from that I have no idea whether or not Save our Bones helps. I think you have to like what you are doing or taking or you wont do it regularly enough to make a difference - assuming it will make a difference in the first place. Hope that makes sense.
