I have gone to Pilates sessions weekly for years, certainly before Polymyalgia Rheumatica was evident 5 years ago and I continue now that I am recently diagnosed with osteoporosis. Make sure your instructor is aware of your condition and is certified to teach you. Some will be physio’s. Look up the Royal Osteoporosis Society website for guidance on what & what not exercise to do. Their information is very good. Consider weight bearing exercise which is so important for bone health.

My husband seen a consultant about 2 years ago he recommended pilates but my husband in that much pain he doesn't think he could do it takes him all the time just to walk?
So important to get the right Pilates instructor/physiotherapist who understands your husband's condition and can suggest appropriate exercises. I would suggest a 1:1 session to begin with rather than join a class
