Hi everyone I have used a hair colour for years but recently I have had a reaction to it. My hairdresser has suggested that it could be connected to the AA that I am taking.Has anyone got any ideas. Thanks

I've not heard that AA can effect hair colour. I took it 3 years and didn't have problems colouring my hair. Have you checked that the formulation hasn't changed? Companies have a way of giving us a "new and improved" version which then doesn't suit us! Good luck with a solution.

I became allergic to my hair color after years of using same product. Scalp would be irritated for a week. I found that taking allergy medicine Benedril before color treatment and the rest of that day at correctly spaced according to the label helped very much.

Then I decided to use the tube form instead of the liquid. The mfg. says this form does not penetrate as much into your scalp. It is less irritating to my scalp. Of course, it would be best to avoid the color totally.

My immediate thought is to ask the rheumatologist treating you for bone loss.
