Got diagnosed 13 years old osteoarthritis in my left big toe in Now 47 years old ! Never been able wear high heels been told go away come back when I'm 60 when I'm crippled !! Now been told could spread to my left hip , lower back

You could get some replies on here, but this is a site mainly for people with osteoporosis, How about trying the Arthritis Action group here on Healthunlocked as I get the impression you are talking about Arthritis. I do sympathise , when your young they tell u one thing, 10 or so years later they tell you another and so on. One very good thing ( and many other things ) on here is, you are not alone in putting up with Arthritis, osteo or otherwise.

I agree with Rosepatal60, that it is OA and not OP that you have been diagnosed with and another group would be more helpful to you. I have OA and OP so can empathise. I have found an excellent and friendly forum and helpline at Arthritis Care: arthritiscareforum.org.uk/v...

Thanx for that info, Kaarina, I knew there was another Arthritis site but couldn't remember the name in the early hours and too tired to look it up. Think I was a member some years ago too !

I was a keen member and became a moderator for a time. It is an excellent forum. I look in every now and again but rarely post and still see some of the old usernames there from when I was on it.
