Y90 procedure

I had the Y90 procedure 3 days ago. It went very well. The doctor was very optomistic about my situation. Not much in the way of side effects so far. I hope that it stays that way.

Besides the procedure, I have drastically, changed my diet. I have stopped consuming any alcohol. Sugar and salt have been greatly reduced, fruit added, bread and potatoes cut down. I have small desserts such as a cookie, yogurt, banana. Breakfast is switching away from entirely bread and doughnuts to steel cut oats, eggs, and toast. So far so good. Some meals consist only a green salad with a vinaigrette dressing.

It sounds like you're working on making positive changes. I wish you continued success with the dietary changes and also with the treatment. Sharon Dixon ❤️

So glad to hear that your Doctor is optimistic and especially that you're not having a problem with side effects. I know that often side effects really impact treatment. Hoping everything continues going well. ❤️Sharon Dixon ❤️

Hello. I appreciate your well wishes. I just read your story about you and Jimmy. I am profoundly sorry. It seemed that nothing worked. I fear the same for me. Not until I have my next set of images will I know.

This is a terrible form of cancer. I have battled GIST for 20 years with 3 operations and targeted therapy. That was a walk in the park compared to HCC. It sounds like you are getting along with your life. I have told my wife the same thing.

So far so good until the next scans this fall. Thank you again for your kind words. I will keep in touch.

This is a terrible form of cancer. It is so aggressive and unfortunately often not discovered until later stages. I am just focusing my time on my grandchildren and trying to raise awareness of HCC and share Jimmy's story. One of his last requests was for me to continue fighting because he wanted his life and death to make a difference. Hopefully one day no one will have to go through this pain. I'm hoping that your next scans are good. Please let your wife know that she is always welcome here to if she has any questions or concerns. Sharon Dixon ❤️
