I work so hard that I often forget to have fun. Last weekend, my handsome partner Edward* and I attended a concert given by the amazing singer and songwriter India Ramey. She's Dolly Parton x Loretta Lynn with a sprinkle of Goth. India and I went to high school together. When I saw she was going to be in town, I decided to buy tickets at the last minute. (I'm never impulsive!) I'm glad I did. Edward and I had a great time. I love this photo because you can see how much I adore him. After a tumultuous marriage that ended in 2015, I was blessed to meet Edward. He is my light.

I share this because it's important to remember that the people in our lives matter. Relationships impact our health and well-being. Whether you're a patient, caregiver, survivor, or advocate, surround yourself with people who love you for exactly who you are.

To quote Dr. Seuss, "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."
