Wanted To Share My Blessing

Hi everyone. I haven't been on as much lately. I'm sure everyone understands it's been a really hard time for me. I'm still going to be doing whatever I can to advocate for HCC patients and sharing Jimmy's story as he wanted. Tomorrow night I'm participating on a patient advisory board. As many of ya'll know Jimmy spent his last few months working to make repairs and improvements on our place to make sure I was OK after he was gone. One thing he had wanted to build was a shed to keep our lawnmower, tiller, etc safe and out of the weather. Thanks to Cypress Basin Hospice and Clayton Homes (a local manufactured home company) I now have a 12x14 ft shed with lots of room, shelves and even a ramp. Such a Blessing! These guys worked one day in freezing weather and another in rain to finish this. They did it to honor Jimmy and how he fought to the end.

What a wonderful blessing, Sharon! It looks so nice -- you could probably rent it out on Airbnb. 😂 Seriously, I'm so glad you have a wonderful group looking out for you.

Much love,

Wendy

Thanks Wendy. It is HUGE inside. My friends Chris and Dawn are actually going to help me add a loft at the back if it ever stops raining. That way I can store like the Christmas decorations, winter clothing, and other things I only need once or twice a year. Also planning on adding more shelving. We've already put my old kitchen hutch that's too big for the RV so I can store my overflow of canned food and pantry items. I have my empty canning jars and canners out there too. Still will be enough room to set up the saw horses if I want to work on a piece of furniture. The Hospice group has been wonderful. We were Blessed that the Dr. referred us to that particular one. They fell in love with Jimmy and his determination to live what time he had to the fullest. ❤️

Thank you Bonnie. Also thank you so much for the prayers. You're in my prayers also. I'm dreading Christmas I'm afraid. I haven't even decorated yet. I've got to do something because I promised Jimmy I wouldn't go back to avoiding the holidays like I did after we lost Manda. The only Christmas decorations I've put out is at the cemetery. I can't believe December is already almost halfway over. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.
