2 months ago I started taking ramipril for my blood pressure- av 145/95 over the past 10 years.
I’ve got an asthma pump which I don’t use, nor never really felt the need to.
over the past 2 weeks I’ve been coughing continuously, to the point I’m literally I find it worse in the cold or laying down. I assumed it was asthma related. I have also recently been told I have a heart murmur, eltrocardio/blood tests were ok, just waiting on echo!
I’ve also started getting regularbouts of indigestion- lasts for over an hour- even if I just have a cup of tea.
is there a link between such medications? Any info much appreciated x

Ramipril can certainly cause a bad cough. It did for me but not as bad as you describe and mine decreased when I reduced my intake to 2.5mg from 5. I can’t say I experienced the regular bouts of indigestion you describe. It’s easy to rule out Ramipril, just ask your Dr to change it. There’s lots of choices.
thanks for your replies. I had took it for around a month or so, stopped taking it about a week ago- still coughing, if not as much. Happens more when I go outside then come in. Worried it’s not the ramipril, but the heart murmur. Still, least the indigestion has gone.
Also my missus has the same cough so might just be an infection.
