Good morning, I woke up this morning at 6am with a fit of coughing. I have just finished a week of prednisolone and these keep me awake so have been using a night cream called Repose which you put on wrists and temples so that you breathe it in and it helps you sleep. I think the Repose cream is making me cough or could it be the Amlodipine I have also just started taking for high blood pressure. Any ideas anyone?

Check the side effects on your Patient Information Leaflet in the Amlodipine box and see if cough is listed as a side effects, it's never made me cough but we're all different. If not, it may be the cream as I have sensitivities to smells and plenty start me off. Try not using the cream for a few nights and see if the coughing stops.
