Sore eyes on Ramipril

I was wondering if anyone had experience sore or stinging eyes while taking Ramipril. I’ve been on it for 2 weeks. Noticed this symptom about 1 week in. Stopped taking it for 1 day to see if my eyes felt better - they did. Started on it again and a couple of days in, the sore eyes are back. Any feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi md53. Have you looked at the side effects on the Patient Information Leaflet to see if it's mentioned there?

Hi. Yeah I looked and a rare side effect can be eye pain. I don’t feel like my eyes are so painful that I need to come off the drug. I guess I’m just hoping it improves. If it keeps up I’ll definitely contact my GP. thanks for responding.

Hi there, I developed a cough when taking Ramipril, so my doc changed me to Losartan. No cough now. I too have dry eyes and they can often feel gritty and sore, something which my optician says can be aggravated by the Bisoprolol which I take. Perhaps a trip to the optician is in order.
