Yes . Amlodopine even is small doses can cause side effects . Have you tried taking it last thing at night . If the side effects persists go back to doctor ask for different medicine . Good Luck , James

I started on two drugs at the same time as my bp was fearful...initially 5mg ramipril and 10mg amlodipine. My legs and feet ballooned on that so doctor tried 10mg ramipril and 5mg amlodipine.Legs improved but my potassium levels dropped below acceptable levels. As my bp had dropped my doctor tried 5mg of each which I'm on now.I had a burning sensation in my chest, arms and abdomen for months and was checked at A&E twice...no concerns. That has diminished. My bp is lower still now so I'm hoping that once this virus crisis is over, and I'm able to see a doctor, I may be able to drop my dose further. My take away from all this is bp meds are very much a necessary evil and the side effects can be horrible for some of us.I hope you can get sorted out soon.🤞😀

What do you mean by burning sensation?? I was just upped to 10mg a cpl weeks ago and feel a flushing sensation. All day I have felt feverish in my face and arms but my temp is normal. Is that what you mean?

I've had this flushing sensation for weeks now, I used to be on ramapril very small dose, but changed to Amlodipine 5mg after side effects, if this covid19 wasn't around I wouldn't be worried as much, with the flushing I have a normal temperature but burning sensation on face/arms and abdomen. I going to give my doctor a call today.

One other side effect I get is a faster heart beat at times.

I am now having same issue and came across your post.. How are you feeling now? After just dropping my dosage from 10 to 5 I'm feeling dizzy, and noticed my BP is higher (128/87 - used to be 100/70). I was hoping to be able to reduce the dose since I am not seeing any effect on my PVC symptoms. I've been on Bisoprolol 5 mg for 5 months now and I feel like I take too many heart meds..

Looks like for me it's such a struggle to be able to start or come off any medication...:(
