Has anyone heard of blood pressure rising substantially after talking (animatedly). I have noticed that often after I have met friends that this happens and I was wondering why this was?

I don’t know why it happens but when I have mine taken, on the occasions the nurse and I have been talking it has been high and she’s said it was because we were talking, and when it was redone it was back to normal!

Talking will indeed increase the blood pressure. Mine has gone up 40 points when talking.

Interesting. It’s so annoying. I would love to know why!
