Well we discuss things right here, such as medication and what effects different pills have on us. The consensus seems to be that we all react differently to the same tablets.
My personal thoughts are that GPs start with the cheapest, least expensive tablets available and only by trial and error can hope to come up with something that the patient can tolerate and that controls their blood pressure. Some side effects are horrific but don't affect everyone. (I also take co-codamol for arthritis and ranitidine for my persistent cough.)
What meds are you on? I am on losartan and bisporolol but something is making me cough all night long so that I wake up 5 or 6 times every night, and my husband has moved into the spare room so he can get some rest!
I suppose it means another trip to the surgery and trying yet another combination of tablets. Sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel and ditching all the pills.
Consider taking Co-Q 10 liquid form (pharmaceutical grade, high fat and water soluble) that is sold at Costco in a black and gold bottle. Consider taking it morning, noon, and night every day, for one month and then let me know how you feel. Read the online reviews yourself. I take it and wish I had taken it years ago. Please let me know how you do. Thanks.
