Dear wonderful people at HU, thank you for the gift of this website and your support. You cannot imagine how good it feels to connect with people here every day. You make life just a little more livable!
1. It allows me to connect with others facing similar challenges without leaving home.
2. It provides incrediblly helpful information that has helped guide my treatment.
3. It gives me the pleaure and satisfaction of helping others thru things I’ve learned along the way and by offering a few kind words to those in need of hearing them.
Every night before I go to sleep I look at every single new post. I’m addictted.
Well said a Schwah. Being a former Counsellor for drug and alcohol abuse, and a member of LSN, I heartily agree with all 3 points. However, I'm not sure about being addicted - but I'm getting there! 😉
Hope you had a great Xmas, and have a great New Year.
Thank you Pepa, and all at the Health Unlocked team, for keeping this helpful forum going for us! Thanks so much. Woke up this am thinking how great this whole thing is and how it's helping me mentally and physically. It's so encouraging to see that one has the potential to enhance one's experience of life and also to change your perceptions of who you are and what you can actually achieve with support and encouragement. Thanks again and Merry Christmas x
Thank you all for creating and maintaining this network. It has been a lifesaver for so many people through desperate days. It has also given as a forum to share our happy and successful days too. Nollaig Chridheil agus Bliadhna Mhath Ur - no it’s not a cure for tinnitus but Scottish Gaelic for Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year. I hope it’s a good one for you all in the team and for all participating in the forum. Lang may your lum reek!
Thank you very much. On behalf of the PSP group, I would like to thank you for creating this site. As others have said, it is a life line for those suffering from the evilness of this disease, be it the carers or the actual people with the illness. My husband's journey would have been a lot harder with out the help and knowledge that I received from the forum. I rarely met any professionals who know anything about PSP. So this site was vital to us.
Merry Christmas to everyone and thank you so much for your support I am extremely grateful for all the amazing information which has helped me understand thyroid disease I dread to think where I would be without you all 🌲🌲
Thankyou forall your hard work on this invaluable site. I have so much more knowledge of my Illness than I did and has been so much help. I have made friends online and some if us have actually met up at a pmr meeting in London. Keep up the good work.
Merry Christmas to all the staff for their total dedication, come rain or shine to enable us members,to have access to the best site ever. Its a site where we really feel like we are part of a family and that's proved to be so important to many of us.
This site is incredible. I’ve networked and found new hope for a lady in the US that has been bed ridden for nine years. She now has new hope for herself. When we met on here she was ready to meet her maker.
If I can help anyone suffering undiagnosed neuropathy I am happy. Utterly delighted with this forum.
All the very best to the team of HU such an easy site to use and full of useful comments and advice. To all the HU team and all the user's looking forward to a good New Year with the very best health to everyone.
Merry Christmas and a heartfelt thank you to all of you who started this wonderful group! If nothing else, you have given us HOPE. Blessings to you for a perfect 2019.
Great site - many thanks for all you efforts. The free flow of information that occurs here is invaluable, encouraging and keeps us all up to speed. Much appreciationand keep the good work.
Heartfelt Thankyou and seasons greetings to you all. Many of us do not know the hours and effort you and the volunteer administrators put in to provide a safe free and invaluable service to us all. Thankyou
Thank you simply for being there for all of us. I have found it a great way of finding information and knowing I’m not alone.
Best wishes to everyone for 2019.
Hi and to you all as well.
Wasn't much Xmas cheer here! Went to post office to pay B Gas Leccy Extortion bill
(Need to get someone to sort better tariff out for me? As most is Standing charge gas is all) anyway then went to Asdas got some bits(But no slippers!!!)got through Check point went to pay??? No Bank card so had to leave it all(think left in PO terminal as don't squeel like cash point once done?)
They was rushing to close and everything going on took my mind off it as my thing is as soon as used put back into it's hidey slot in wallet as have certain things i always do like taking keys out back of the door as soon as open it(Have a Banham Security lock)* That way do automunous as being Autistic/Aspergers have systems for things so do in certain ways!
So had a root through dust bin had some out of date smoked mackeral in brown boogey bread(one with all the bits in it)later had some rice cakes with Taramalasalatous(Fish egg thing Turkish) and some sort of Dodgey Birds custard i Conncoted in the lab(Kitchen)in the Nuke box(Microwave) as ran out of milk so wasn't right! so mixed in a tin of Ambrosia Macaroni i forgot had well atleast it was hot so warmed me up!
*When was a Painter&Decorator worked in Fulham/Chelsea/Kensington areas many places round there have Banham locks pretty good concept they had euro Cylinders before most other places used but there different to most others in that the fixing screw (one that comes in from side of door)isn't in same place as actuator(part that flicks lock mech)As that's the weak part on most locks where scrootes break in by grabbed front of lock with pliers twisting so snap lock in half where it's weak there then pull front part of cylinder out then flick mechanism and in!
Bahnam designed it so can't do that front part is protected by a collar that fixes round front of cylinder which then slots/held by face plate part thats fixed through door into back plate of lock&lock is fixed to door from front back and sides so once had some cash got myself one Not cheap even back then but really good and secure!*
Sending a HUGE THANK YOU to EVERYONE involved in everything to do with running HU:

I have read in today's issue of Times Of India news Paper the following:
Ref: Times of India dt.26.12.18
News column: Tech Buzz
“Drug to fight Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s”
The following is an verbatim print out of the column found in the issue of Times Of India dt. 27.12.2018 issue.
London : Scientist have developed a drug with potential to stop the breakdown of brain cells that may lead to Alzheimer’s , and motor neuron disease. The drug is made up of “supercharged “ vitamin A which is found in vegetables like sprouts and carrots and miniature cabbages , Peter McCaffery, lead author from the Aberdeen University in Scotland, was quoted as saying.-IANS”
kindly enlighten me if you have come across this materiel?
It's news in Australia too, but I don't see the relevance to CLL. I do hope that this is proven to be effective however, given how devastating these illnesses are to those affected and their families and friends.
I first came to know HU when I was really in the dumps and the good people in the organisation, both members and administrators pulled me out of the psychological mess I was in. YOU ARE THE BEST! Thankyou for the marvellous work you're all doing and may you all be blessed abundantly in the coming year and beyond.
Very belated good wishes, I hope the team enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. May I wish you all continuing success in the coming year and health and happiness to all.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and all the very best in2019. Thankyou for this wonderful incredibly helpful site and thankyou to all who are on this site. Happy New Year to all from a very hot Brisbane Australia.
Thank you for providing great support to so many people! This forum, along with the Couch 2 5K app, has made a huge difference to me this year and I feel so much better for it. Thank you and best wishes for a healthy, happy 2019!
As the year ends and a new one begins, I pause for a moment to remember the contributions of those no longer with us. For they live on within us in spirit as we are encouraged by their bravery to tell their personal stories to the very end. So many others following similar journeys have been given strength and hope and others have changed their own life path to survive what might have been a path to self destruction. These people should not be forgotten as we embrace the New Year and leave behind the old one.
To those of us in despirate need of lifestyle changes, may we make progress this new year. May we continue to support each other in sickness and in health and be encouraged by each other to take responsibility; as far as possible, for our own health situation and to be there for those who’s life is coming to an end.
I wish health, happiness and prosperity to one and all. Happy New Year!
Hi pepa how was your holidays. How long have you been with healthunlocked. Are you from the UK. I've met a lot of wonderful people. I'm from the US as a matter of fact I live in southern Indiana. Close to about 15 minutes from Illinois. I was born and raised in Muncie Indiana we were close to Ohio. I moved here in 1996 and never went back. It's nice getting to know you and the others your all doing a fantastic job and I'm really proud of you all for making this a good place to be and bringing it to the US.I've checked the other online communitys. I didn't care for them. HU is like being with family. So thank you again. susiejo1948
My holidays were great, thanks for asking and for your lovely reply <3
I have been with HealthUnlocked since 2011. It is always nice to interact with members of the platform and work together to make HU a safe and supportive place for everyone.
