Is it just a cold or is it covid-19. As a person with lung disease (emphysema) it doesn't really matter in a way. Just a cold...to compromised lung person often turn to pneumonia and chest infections. Maybe its just more likely to catch the covid?
For sure there are many many people in the world who are aware and careful about what might be on there hands or able to spread, just as people like me have been for many many years.

I'd say it does matter, a cold may not turn into a lung infection which may not lead to pneumonia, but even if it does those things, possible chances of survival from that is higher than may or may not be the case with covid-19.
Treat the Cold
Treat the lung Infection
Make a telephone appointment with your doctor if the cold develops into a lung infection for further guidance and replenishment of any antibiotics and preds you take.
Hope the cold doesn't development into a lung infection.
I agree and the difference with covid or a cold is that the pneumonia you get from a cold is probably a secondary bacterial infection treatable with ABs, whereas covid pneumonia is viral and therefore not treatable with ABs. (I imagine you could also get a second bacterial infection from covid too but dont know.) Best check, Schmicter. Hope you're ok. Good luck.
Thanks, my point was that whether covid or a cold it hasn't changed my behavior, and the population is just now on a similar level of awareness of contagion as many with lung issues always have been.
