Doxycycline

I was put on doxycycline today and my heart was racing like mad and also gave me heartburn and I'm already on tablets for acid indigestion I won't be taking anymore if these I'm gunna ask if they will change them

I didn’t have a problem with them but they clearly don’t suit you. I would definitely ask for something else.

Yes ask for something else not everything suits everybody. I have them as my rescue pack but I don't find that they work that well for me, always end up going back for something else

I always suffer unpleasant side effects from this antibiotic but it usually does the job.

I'm Allergic to it unfortunately. It made my lips swell and covered my face with a rash. I have to take Amoxycillin instead.

So sorry to read about your problems with Doxi...the little leaflet that comes with the pills has a section towards the end where they ask for feedback when taking this antibiotic. I think if everyone who had problems with any medication, followed the request to report all the side effects etc, then it is maybe helping somebody else.

I do hope you find another antibiotic that agrees with you.

Doxi antibiotics give me a severe sunburn even when I wear a very high sun lotion number like 50. I also get extremely itchy from it. I was on my sailboat for 3 weeks and my hands looked like they had had 3rd degree burns. Stopped taking them. Too many side effects for me.
