I was buying Spiriva for first time in turkey, I was pleasantly surprised with the fixed price of around 10 US dollars a box , I remember once I saw the price in America around 200$ a box as I remember or I might be wrong , how much does it cost in your area ?

Hi

In the U.K.

£8.80 on prescription.

Cheaper with a pre-payment certificate for three or twelve months if more than one item required.

Free if you meet a certain criteria.

You will need the handihaler to go with the capsules.

I don't pay for my medicines but NHS UK prescription costs are as already mentioned.

Where are you buying the capsules for $10 US? hope its from a reputable supplier. People with insurance and on medicare in US get reduced medicine costs I believe.

In Bahrain it was around $80 for the 30 capsules and handihaler. Just had to buy some in Kazakhstan and it was $70. Was able to get my prescribed ANORO ELLIPTA in Ukraine for $20 as opposed to $59 in Bahrain, not approved for Kazakhstan

As of 2015 spariva device = £34.87 and 30 pack of capsuals = £33.50 so that makes £8.20 quite cheep. sorry my figers are 2015 but i cant find a more recent price. The price of moast of are old type of inhalers has gone down in recent years as thear licene expires so more companies can make them im not sure about spiriva my pack still has a trade mark sign on so probably not. I hope this helps

Healthcare costs in the US are a complete ripoff. The prices of everything are inflated for maximum profit and this is why the health companies lobbied so hard to abolish "Obamacare" as this would have undercut them and dented their massive profits.

Here in the UK we are so lucky to have the NHS, for now, and in Scotland we are even luckier to have a government which prioritises the NHS for the benefit of patients, families and carers. Free prescriptions here mean that drugs which could be a major cost to patients on multiple medicines are supplied without cutting into the household budget.

Believe me, if this Tory government has its way, the US healthcare system will be introduced here a bit at a time. There are huge profits to be made and many MPs have shares in them for this very reason.

Fight for your NHS and don't allow them to take it away from you.

I think I pay $150 to $200 a month for Spiriva Respimat in the U.S., and I have Medicare as well as a private drug plan. And as far as I can tell, the drug does almost nothing to relieve my symptoms.

Hi, I am lucky to get this medication on the NHS for free. However if I go to Lanzarote I first need to see a Doctor at around 90 Euros then get a prescription for the local chemist and as yet have not purchased a pack. I think you have had a lucky find but it does seem a long way to go.

I have ordered meds from Turkey and Canada at a fraction and they are every bit as good. Spiriva costs me about 300. a month in the states, and that's AFTER insurance has paid their part. Let us know how it is for you.
