I’m new here. I suffer from asthma and Copd and as my breathing worsened my asthma nurse prescribed Fostair and Eklira. Does anyone use Eklira, I find it hard to inhale. What is the benefit of Eklira anyone?

I used eklira for a couple of years. I found it very effective but very bitter and gritty. My consultant changed me to Anoro which is one puff once a day and I far prefer it.

I was fine for years on Eklira Genuair but when they changed it to Duaklir Genuair I had very bad reaction to it. Now on Spiolto Respimat, which has made a huge difference to my breathing.

I have been using Eklira for a couple of years. My lungs are so bad I really don’t know if it helps or not. Having said this, you really need to take a long breath in when taking the inhaler and not stop breathing in when you hear the “click”. Otherwise, the mechanism will jam and you won’t be able to take any more doses. Good luck with it.
