Lovely morning here nice cool breeze but I am so tired. This last week I have been having restless legs when I am in bed, which is seriously disturbing my sleep. Has anyone any help ....could it be meds or inhalers. Any info would be appreciated. Jane

I'm on steroids and suffer from restless legs, it's so annoying and it's mainly evening time for me

I nearly went mad with restless legs especially in hospital. Eventually I went for reflexology and found it a real help. Some medications can cause it and at last doctors are taking it seriously and prescribing for it. I hope you get some relief. Sheila x

Hi Jane, 👋

I get this occasionally. It's awful isn't it? 😐 I think some of the causes are iron deficiency, spinal cord issues, pregnancy and neuropathy from diabetes, if I'm not mistaken. I recently found out I am a bit anaemic. So that may have something to do with my having it sometimes.

I believe the range of treatment really depends on what the doctor's findings are. It's definitely worth talking to your doctor about. It can cause you to lose sleep. Not good at all.

Warm wishes,

Cas xx 🌞🐳

Hello Jane. 😊

Yesterday was a park day. We haven't been there for weeks. I've not felt okay enough to go with him. 😑 So, my daughter took us and It was very nice to see Chom running about after his ball. What's your lab's name? I've always been partial to black labs. 💕

Oh I do sympathise with you ,as now and again,my restless legs keep my awake at night. I feel like I'm continually trying to stretch my leg muscles, over and over again. I've never thought of asking my GP as other things at the time were more on my mind. I hope you'll let us know how you get on with your Doctor etc.

Best wishes.

Poor you. I suffer from restless legs. Maybe a leg massage before bed or I lie on my back with my legs in the air for about 5 mins. Put your legs straight up against a wall. If you search on line I found a guy who recommends certain foods and supplements that he swears helped him. I follow some of it. I don’t get as many occurrences now. I find a lot of sitting isn’t good for my legs so I don’t sit down for long spells. Hope you find something that works for you. X

I know, its dreadful, I've had this so much. Please try taking magnesium (ionic magnesium is best) as this has helped me more than anything. Health food stores or online. Doctors used to prescribe quinine for restless legs but aren't allowed to now. Of course there is quinine in tonic water if you like tonic water, with or without the gin ! But please try magnesium. Also soaking lower legs in cold water standing in the bath.
