Gentlemen's Dilemma.

Some things we don’t mention

Like toileting and such.

But I want to mention one thing

That sometimes worries us much.

That is about the toilet seat

Which ladies don't like up.

Causes gentlemen a problem

If darn thing won't stay put.

The toilet manufacturers,

Seem to take the ladies side.

The space between seat and tank

Needs to be more wide.

So I've a tip for gentlemen,

Your requirement to achieve.

Just prop the darn thing open,

And remove it when you leave.

(Unless you live alone as I do, in which case it stays put)

The purpose of the lid is to stop germs flying all over when you flush. Something else some seem to avoid.

My old Gran had a saying, “You can’t do right for doing wrong”. 🤔 Never understood that to be honest.

Yes very true. Apparently if the lid is open flushing away er..poop causes it to fly everywhere and it's full of germs.

The other reason I keep my lid closed is that it's providing an opening to your property for rats and I have heard they can come in through a toilet. Yuck.... x

A rat with that amount of determination would have no trouble pushing the lid open enough to get out. (Even with his breathing apparatus on his back.)

Ah thought of that! Would put something very heavy on top of the lid so it would hopefully drown and get flushed back out x

I can imagine the SPLASH if I tried to use with the lid down, half a sleep, in the middle of the night!

...just better go and clean mine.....not so good today. Pulmonary Rehabilitation did my Spirometry and told me I had Very Severe COPD, and today I feel all full of crap and I am wheezy. Get my mask on now, have another neb.

That's the worst of having that test done. Getting a bad result makes you feel crap. If your last test before that was the same and they told you with a that there was no change you would probabby have felt differently.

Well I'm glad you can still smile, we can lean on each other, even though my bent fingers sometime drive me mad!
