Nebuliser

Hi! I have not posted for a while but I do read all your posts every day. I am going on holiday and want to know if anyone can recommend a nebuliser that is not too heavy. Can it go in hold or cabin baggage. Thanks Jks

I have a Phillips innospire mini which is smalland works well. I am flying to join a ship. Had conversations with Thomson. I can take it in the cabin but will need a docs letter and prescription for any meds with it. So I am wrapping it well in my suitcase. The ship likes to see the neb when I am on board but i have never had a problem. I would contact your airline as they all have different criteria.

may I ask what do you do about other medication you take do you need doctor letter or stick it in the case and keep quiet about them

I never take a letter or anything with my meds as I usually sail from Southampton and they have so many crocks on there that if they checked all of the meds the ship would be back before it sailed. Whenever I have flown I have split the medication for the duration of my holiday between my hand luggage and my suitcase and included one box with the label on for each one. I am making up my daily heartdrugs in a sectioned box for the 28 days that I am away and carrying that because they are also the essentials. I will also carry inhalors and put some in the suitcase. The antibiotic, saline and needles (I take 2) for my neb will go in the suitcase. In my experience most places in the Caribbean, USA Europe are not even interested in your own meds. However, there does seem to be an issue with some painkillers and other drugs in some Middle Eastern countries. I have seen people advised to take the prescription with them.

The last time I went to the US I was taking azithromycin. I took it in the boxes in my suitcase. Nobody asked me anything.

ok thank you , it will be in Europe so I will stick them in suite case and take repeat prescription form with me just in case thank you

I would take a few days supply in your hand luggage with the prescription. Just in case your suitcase goes astray. Did I mention my OCD? or you could call it ' not trusting anybody to do their job right'.
