Just wondering if anyone on here has been through a lung transplant recently. I'm now on the list for a double lung transplant and would love to chat to people who have been through it xx

Congratulations on getting on the list (if that's the right word). If you have a look on twitter there are a number of post transplantees on there who are doing just the most amazing things with their lives. Similarly on Facebook.

I am still trying to lose those last 6kg to get me to assessment. Its been an awfully long haul. Good luck and keep in touch

Hi Michelle _ I think you commented on my post when I queried feed back on Transplants - If my current treatment shows slight signs of my health improving they are putting me on the list - I've already had a few pre-op tests and am only waiting for a date for the invasive tests so the ball will get rolling as soon as I show signs of improvement - so I will watch your post with interest - Good Luck

Yeah I will keep you updated on how things go. I was told 4 weeks ago that I was seriously ill and I was in urgent need of a double lung transplant. But I'm very positive that my call will come very soon and I will have a second chance of being able to breathe properly. Good luck I hope you get on the list what transplant centre would you be at xx

Do you have to be at a certain point in your illness to get to assessment let alone on the transplant list?
