steriods, i have been on Prednisolone since January, the doses going up and down with chest infections, I am also on several inhalers, one being Symbiort, should my GP have given me a blue card ? It was only reading things on this site that has caused me to ask this question.

Speak to your GP and have a look at the leaflet that comes with the Pred. As noted below it tends to be when you are a long term dose like a maintenance dose that the blue card is needed because you can't just come off them.
If you are on a dose for around 7 days then you should taper off but your doc should tell you this and it should be on your prescription.
I am on Symbicort and I'm no longer taking any of the calcium tablets or alendronic acid because my consultant said there was no need as the dose was too low. I also no longer have a blue card.

I think you should have a blue card but as suggested your GP or local pharmacist can advise you best on this. Also ask about the bone thinning side affect with long term use. The leaflet that comes with the medicine should have this information also.
