Hi, has anyone ever found that after they go for a bowel movement their bladder hurts and feels sore? If so, what have you been diagnosed with?

Yes my bladder doctor routinely asks how my bladder feels after a bowel movement. Bowels and bladder closely linked

Thanks for replying. Did they say what they’re looking for when they ask that?

I have had IBS for 10 yrs. So this past year or so I have been blessed with UTI'S Since January 2021 I have had 5 Of them!! When I get them I get IBS flare ups!! I have so much pain and feel so ill that I can't tell which is which. I just know I am feeling really bad this past week. Does anyone get the same thing happen to them?

I’ve been experiencing similar. I get a horrible ache in my bottom and have even asked my GP to check me internally. Before a bowel movement the bladder pain worsens and sometimes afterwards until it seems to settle down. Avoiding constipation is a must because this makes the pain much worse and there’s an odd feeling that my bowel is still full or that something is stuck. I read about a condition called Levator Ani syndrome which is linked to similar pelvic pain. There are some specific exercises on Pinterest to strengthen the pelvic floor to help symptoms.
