Thank you everyone for your advice as can be seen from previous post just started Clopidogrel and as instructed took loading dose this morning. Can it make you feel tired - hopefully will get used to it and from tomorrow it’s one a day until my procedure. Like you all hopefully will feel better soonx

I started taking Clopidogrel about a week ago for a stent and feel tired during the day. I feel drained rather than sleepy (although I could easily sleep in the daytime from it).

I'm wondering if the alternative medications the doctor might prescribe are as effective? I would rather be sleepy rather than have second-rate protection from clots!

Can anyone advise?

I know I was the same spoke with hospital to see what could be done may advise you take at night after leaving appropriate time from last dose. I had a loading dose so a lot of pills one day followed by one a day. Recommend you speak to hospital/clinic or Doctor whoever prescribed

Disappointingly ... when I contacted the hospital on Friday four days after having the stent fitted, they told me to speak to my GP (or visit A&E for an emergency). After the stent, I had been getting an unprecedented flare up of my usualupper chest pain.

It seems the Cardiac Short Stay Unit (in Nottm) don't offer any meaningful after-care.

It will take days to get a GP appointment and then he is not a cardiac specialist, so I'm not sure I will get the most up to date or appropriate advice.

Not what you're looking for?
